Water as symbol, sound, and spiritual orientation.

Seawater is the first work in a trilogy of ensemble pieces that explore water as symbol, sound, and spiritual orientation. At its core, the piece reflects the human yearning for the divine — the way we reach outward and inward in search of meaning. Its textures ebb and flow like tides: instrumental lines disperse into multiplicity, then converge in unison, enacting a cycle of emanation and return.

Guitaristic harmonies and rhythmic sensibilities are woven into the orchestration, giving the work both immediacy and depth. As the music unfolds, it evokes water not only as a physical element but as a metaphor for memory, imagination, and the boundary between earthly and imaginal realms.
